Updated October 23, 2026
A nursery theme is the one idea that ties a baby's room together: an animal, a place, a color or a story that the wall art, bedding and paint all point back to.
The nursery themes parents choose most are woodland, gender-neutral, safari, outer space and dinosaurs, and below you'll find all 71 of the themes we love, each with three colors and the art that makes it work.
You have more time than it feels like. Parents spend more than three weeks getting the nursery ready, and 28% start decorating in the second trimester (SWNS survey via New York Post, 2024). Pick the theme first and every other choice gets easier.
Each theme links to its full collection, and every picture links to the print it shows. Where a theme has a choose-your-own gallery, the picture opens the gallery instead, so you can pick how many prints you want in one size and one finish.

The most popular nursery themes
These are the ten nursery themes parents search for most on Google in the US, based on the monthly search numbers we track. Each one links to its full entry below.
- Woodland: forest animals in greens and warm browns, the most searched theme we track.
- Gender-neutral: oat, sage and soft brown with animals or nature, for any baby.
- Safari: lions, giraffes and elephants on a warm savanna.
- Outer space: astronauts, rockets and planets in soft night blues.
- Dinosaur: friendly dinos in sage greens and warm sand.
- Butterfly: soft wings, florals and garden scenes.
- Under the sea: octopuses, seahorses and fish in watery blues.
- Sports: baseball, soccer and tennis, often with animal players.
- Vintage hunting: retrievers, mallards and misty country paths.
- Farm: cows, sheep and geese around a red barn.
For what's coming next, Babylist's 2027 nursery trends point to coastal rooms, teddy bears, and dinosaurs and safari animals coming back as touches rather than whole rooms (Babylist, updated October 2026). That fits what I see too: one strong theme, carried by the art, with calm basics around it.
How to choose a nursery theme
A nursery comes to about $1,352 in a baby's first year (BabyCenter via FOX 13, 2025), so it pays to pick a theme that will last. These four steps are the ones I use with every room.
- Start from one print you love. A single piece of art gives you the colors, the mood and the theme in one go. Build the room outward from it.
- Pick three colors. One for the walls, one for the big pieces and one accent. Every theme below lists three to start you off.
- Think a few years ahead. Choose a theme your child can grow into. Animals, nature and color-led themes last much longer than a single cartoon look.
- Mix one theme with plain basics. Let the art carry the theme and keep the crib, rug and curtains simple. The room feels finished instead of busy.
Gender-neutral nursery themes
Most parents know who's coming: 86% find out the baby's sex before birth (SWNS survey via New York Post, 2024). Many still choose a gender-neutral nursery, because it suits a sibling later and grows with any child.
The themes that work best without leaning pink or blue are woodland, safari, farm, botanical, moon and stars, hot air balloon and mountain. For the colors, start with the gender-neutral theme itself: oat, sage and soft brown. I also wrote about gender-neutral nursery colors and a gender-neutral woodland nursery you can shop piece by piece.
Boy nursery themes and girl nursery themes
The boy nursery themes parents ask me about most are dinosaurs, cars, construction, sports, outer space, airplanes, nautical, vintage hunting and western. Each one can stay soft for a baby and get bolder later. See the whole baby boy nursery collection.
For girls, the favorites are floral, fairies, butterflies, ballet, mermaids, princess and castle, bunnies and cowgirl, plus the pink and purple color themes. Browse the baby girl nursery collection for all of them.
Woodland and forest animal nursery themes
1. Woodland nursery theme
A woodland nursery theme fills the room with forest animals like foxes, bears, deer and owls, set against greens and warm browns that feel like a walk under the trees.
It's the most searched nursery theme we track, and I think that's because it suits any baby and keeps working well past the toddler years. Let one or two animals lead and give the rest supporting roles.
Pairs well with: forest and mushroom.

Shop the woodland collection. Read more: A gender-neutral woodland nursery you can shop, down to the paint code.
2. Forest nursery theme
A forest nursery theme is woodland without the crowd: tall pines, misty trees and the odd fairy or dragon hiding in the leaves.
It reads calmer than a full animal room, which suits parents who want the wall to do the talking while the rest of the room stays quiet.
Pairs well with: woodland and fairy.

Shop the forest collection. Read more: The one rug rule for a bold forest nursery wall.
3. Bear nursery theme
A bear nursery theme centers on one friendly bear, whether that's a brown bear in the woods, a polar bear under the stars or a panda among the bamboo.
Bears are easy to grow with, since the same animal can be sleepy over the crib now and off on adventures by the time your child turns five.
4. Fox nursery theme
A fox nursery theme puts a red or arctic fox at the center, usually among wildflowers, pine trees or a little woodland crew of friends.
The orange of a red fox is the easiest pop of color in this whole list. Keep the walls soft and let the fox be the bright spot.
Pairs well with: woodland and wildflower.

5. Deer nursery theme
A deer nursery theme is quiet and gentle, built around a spotted fawn, a stag in a meadow or a deer tucked among flowers.
It leans soft and works for a boy or a girl. A single fawn over the dresser often does more than a full wall of animals.
Pairs well with: woodland and floral.

6. Bunny nursery theme
A bunny nursery theme uses rabbits in gardens, flower crowns and meadows, and it's one of the softest looks you can choose.
Bunnies sit naturally beside florals and pastels, so it's an easy theme to pull together with bedding you may already own.
Pairs well with: floral and farm.

7. Owl nursery theme
An owl nursery theme brings in wise, round-eyed owls on branches, under lanterns or against a starry night sky.
Owls fit neatly between woodland and moon and stars, so you can borrow from either side. Ochre and soft brown keep it warm instead of spooky.
Pairs well with: woodland and moon and stars.

8. Mushroom nursery theme
A mushroom nursery theme is a cottage-garden forest floor of red toadstools, tiny fairies and woodland creatures sheltering under the caps.
Whimsical without being loud, a single toadstool print can also dress up a plain woodland room.
Pairs well with: fairy and forest.

Safari and jungle nursery themes
9. Safari nursery theme
A safari nursery theme gathers lions, giraffes, elephants and zebras on a warm savanna of sand, gold and soft green.
It's one of the most searched themes, and it grows with your child well: baby animals over the crib now, the whole savanna later.
Pairs well with: jungle and elephant.

10. Jungle nursery theme
A jungle nursery theme is lush and leafy, with parrots, monkeys, panthers and big tropical leaves filling the wall.
Jungle is bolder than safari. Let the greens do most of the work and keep the furniture light so the room still feels calm.
Pairs well with: tropical and tiger.

11. Elephant nursery theme
An elephant nursery theme centers on a gentle baby elephant, often with flowers, a balloon or its mother close by.
Elephants are one of the most giftable nursery animals I know, and they look right in a grey, pink or blue room alike.
Pairs well with: safari and hot air balloon.

12. Giraffe nursery theme
A giraffe nursery theme uses tall, spotted giraffes that suit a long wall or a narrow spot beside the crib.
Their height is the secret. A portrait-shaped print fills a slim stretch of wall that most other art can't.
Pairs well with: safari and zebra.

13. Lion nursery theme
A lion nursery theme puts a golden lion at the center, from a dapper lion in a bow tie to a calm king of the savanna.
Lions bring warmth and a little courage to the wall, and a gold mane against a soft green or cream wall is hard to beat.
Pairs well with: safari and jungle.

14. Zebra nursery theme
A zebra nursery theme leans on bold stripes, which makes it one of the easiest animal themes to mix with black and white decor.
A zebra in a bandana or sunglasses adds a little humor, while a grazing zebra in a meadow keeps things calm.
Pairs well with: black and white and safari.

15. Tiger nursery theme
A tiger nursery theme is bold and warm, with striped tigers in jungle leaves, desert landscapes or deep navy swirls.
Tigers carry a lot of color, so give them one wall and keep the rest of the room simple.
Pairs well with: jungle and blue.

16. Sloth nursery theme
A sloth nursery theme is slow, sleepy and funny, with sloths hanging from branches, napping in hammocks or wearing striped sweaters.
Parents who want a bit of humor on the wall love this one, and soft greens and browns keep it restful.
Pairs well with: jungle and moon and stars.

Farm and country nursery themes
17. Farm nursery theme
A farm nursery theme brings in cows, sheep, pigs, geese and horses, usually around a red barn or a green pasture.
Farm rooms grow well, because toddlers love naming every animal on the wall. Pick two or three animals rather than the whole barnyard.
Pairs well with: cow and highland cow and duck.

18. Cow and highland cow nursery theme
A cow nursery theme uses spotted dairy cows or shaggy highland cows, often with flowers, bows or a country meadow.
Interest in it has grown fast: Etsy reported searches for cow nursery items up 126% in 2023 (Etsy, 2023 data). A highland cow in rust and cream gives a farm room a cozy, modern feel.
Pairs well with: farm and cowboy and western.

19. Horse nursery theme
A horse nursery theme can be a rocking horse, a pony in a meadow or wild horses running through the mountains.
Horses cross easily into western, farm and princess rooms, which gives this theme a long life. Horse also has choose-your-own galleries.
Pairs well with: cowgirl and farm.

20. Duck nursery theme
A duck nursery theme is soft and sweet, with white ducklings, mallards on a pond and ducks wandering through wildflowers.
Etsy saw searches for duck nursery items rise 93% in 2023 (Etsy, 2023 data), and it's easy to see why. Ducks suit any baby, and there are several choose-your-own duck galleries.
Pairs well with: farm and wildflower.

21. Goose nursery theme
A goose nursery theme uses white geese in flower crowns, marching in a line or driving little cars, and it's sillier than you might expect.
Geese bring the same soft palette as ducks with more personality. Lavender and sage keep the room gentle.
Pairs well with: duck and farm.

22. Llama nursery theme
A llama nursery theme uses smiling llamas in flower crowns and mountain scenes, a happy, boho twist on a farm room.
The llama collection is small, so it works best as one or two prints in a room built around florals or soft desert colors.
Pairs well with: desert and cactus and floral.

23. Dog and puppy nursery theme
A dog nursery theme fills the wall with puppies and family dogs, from golden retrievers and samoyeds to a dog curled up beside a child.
If you already have a dog, this theme tells your baby's story from day one. Match the print to your own breed when you can.
Pairs well with: vintage hunting and farm.

24. Cat nursery theme
A cat nursery theme brings in kittens and cats with butterflies, moons, gingham and the children who love them.
Cats can go soft and pastel or a little bolder with orange tabbies. There are several choose-your-own cat galleries, so a matched set takes a few clicks.
Pairs well with: butterfly and moon and stars.

Ocean and beach nursery themes
25. Under the sea nursery theme
An under the sea nursery theme dives below the waves, with octopuses, seahorses, jellyfish and fish in watery blues and corals.
Every print in this theme adds a new creature to find together at bedtime.
Pairs well with: ocean and mermaid.

26. Ocean nursery theme
An ocean nursery theme stays on the surface, with whales, sailboats, dolphins and waves in calm blues and sandy neutrals.
Calmer than under the sea, the soft blues suit a boy or a girl. Whale lovers, this is your theme too.
Pairs well with: nautical and sailboat and beach.

27. Mermaid nursery theme
A mermaid nursery theme brings in mermaids with flowing hair, seashells and koi, in pastel pinks, lilacs and teals.
The mermaid galleries let you choose how many prints you want, and every print in a gallery shares one palette.
Pairs well with: under the sea and purple.

28. Beach nursery theme
A beach nursery theme captures sand, sun and family days by the water, with beach walks, puppies on the shore and little swimmers.
This one feels warm and relaxed, especially when the rest of the house already leans coastal.
Pairs well with: ocean and nautical and sailboat.

29. Nautical and sailboat nursery theme
A nautical nursery theme sets sail with sailboats, lighthouses, little captains and seaplanes in navy, white and a touch of red.
Nautical is classic and easy to grow with. Navy stripes and one red accent keep it crisp.
Pairs well with: ocean and airplane.

30. Fishing nursery theme
A fishing nursery theme tells a lakeside story, with a child or a bear casting a line on a calm lake or river.
Fishing is a lovely way to share a family hobby with a baby, and it sits naturally beside the outdoor themes further down.
Pairs well with: camping and mountain.

Dinosaur, dragon and storybook nursery themes
31. Dinosaur nursery theme
A dinosaur nursery theme fills the room with friendly dinosaurs, from sleepy baby dinos to whole families wandering earthy landscapes.
For a baby, keep the dinosaurs soft in sage greens and warm sand, then add bolder ones as your child grows. The dinosaur galleries make a matched set easy.
Pairs well with: dragon and monster truck.

32. Dragon nursery theme
A dragon nursery theme can go storybook soft, castle-at-night epic or deep green and mossy, and each version needs its own palette.
Mixing art from all three is how a dragon wall ends up busy instead of finished, so I wrote a whole post on keeping them apart.
Pairs well with: princess and castle and fairy.

Shop the dragon collection. Read more: Dragon nursery ideas: three looks, one wall plan.
33. Fairy nursery theme
A fairy nursery theme is a garden of tiny winged fairies among flowers, toadstools and dandelion seeds, with the odd unicorn wandering through.
Fairies grow into a big-girl room without changing a single print.
Pairs well with: mushroom and butterfly.

34. Princess and castle nursery theme
A princess nursery theme brings in castles, crowns, white horses and friendly dragons, usually in blush and gold.
Keep it soft for a baby and let it grow bolder later. I wrote about that change from nursery to big-girl room.
Pairs well with: dragon and horse.

Shop the princess collection. Read more: Crib out, castle in: growing a nursery into a big-girl room.
35. Swan nursery theme
A swan nursery theme is graceful and calm, with white swans on still water, vintage swan rides and moonlit ballerinas.
Swans are among the most elegant looks on this list, and a single white swan on a soft teal wall carries the whole room.
Pairs well with: ballet and bird.

36. Butterfly nursery theme
A butterfly nursery theme uses soft butterflies with florals, ballerinas and garden scenes, in pale pinks, blues and golds.
Butterfly is one of the most searched themes, and it's an easy one to start small. One print and a matching pillow give the room a direction.
Pairs well with: floral and fairy.

37. Bird nursery theme
A bird nursery theme brings in songbirds, egrets, parrots and robins, from soft garden birds to bright tropical ones.
Birds are flexible: pastel ones suit a gentle room, while tropical birds wake up a jungle wall. There are bird galleries too.
Pairs well with: botanical and tropical.

Sky and space nursery themes
38. Moon and stars nursery theme
A moon and stars nursery theme wraps the room in night skies, crescent moons and sleepy animals, which makes it a natural bedtime theme.
Deep navy with soft gold is the classic pairing, and it works for any baby.
Pairs well with: outer space and owl.
39. Outer space nursery theme
An outer space nursery theme sends the room into orbit, with astronauts, rockets, planets and animals in space suits floating among the stars.
Keep it soft for a baby with muted blues and creams, and save the bold rocket reds for the toddler years.
Pairs well with: moon and stars and airplane.

40. Hot air balloon nursery theme
A hot air balloon nursery theme is light and dreamy, with balloons drifting over clouds and animals waving from the baskets.
Few themes are as easily gender-neutral, and the floating shapes look lovely over a dresser. Hot air balloon has galleries too.
Pairs well with: airplane and elephant.

41. Airplane nursery theme
An airplane nursery theme uses vintage planes and biplanes in blue skies, sometimes with an animal pilot at the controls.
It reads classic rather than busy, and blue with a warm leather brown gives it a vintage feel.
Pairs well with: hot air balloon and nautical and sailboat.

42. Rainbow nursery theme
A rainbow nursery theme brings soft arcs of color into the room, from muted boho rainbows to a bright, happy wall.
Our rainbow collection is small for now, so I'd let one rainbow print set the colors and build the rest of the room in its tones.
Pairs well with: gender-neutral and yellow.

Things that go: vehicle nursery themes
43. Cars nursery theme
A car nursery theme fills the wall with vintage race cars and little animal drivers in goggles, rolling down country roads.
Cars are a favorite for boys' rooms, and a vintage look keeps it from feeling loud.
Pairs well with: train and construction.

44. Construction nursery theme
A construction nursery theme puts diggers, loaders, excavators and road rollers to work on the wall.
Toddlers learn every vehicle name fast. Yellow does the heavy lifting here, so keep everything else calm.
Pairs well with: fire truck and monster truck.
45. Fire truck nursery theme
A fire truck nursery theme brings in red rescue trucks and brave firefighters, a bright pick for a busy little one.
The collection is small, so pair one or two fire truck prints with cars or construction to fill a wall.
Pairs well with: construction and cars.

46. Monster truck nursery theme
A monster truck nursery theme is big wheels and bigger fun, with trucks racing through deserts, outer space and dinosaur country.
It's the loudest theme on this list, so it often works better in a toddler room than over a newborn's crib.
Pairs well with: dinosaur and desert and cactus.

47. Train nursery theme
A train nursery theme follows steam trains through mountains and valleys, a classic look that feels straight out of a storybook.
Trains suit a vintage room, and teal or deep green keeps them gentle.
Western and outdoor nursery themes
48. Cowboy and western nursery theme
A cowboy nursery theme rides into the desert with cowboys, horses, boots and hats in terracotta, sepia and sage.
Western is one of the warmest looks you can pick, and it grows into a big-kid room with no changes at all.
Pairs well with: desert and cactus and horse.

49. Cowgirl nursery theme
A cowgirl nursery theme is western with a softer edge, with cowgirls under the stars, pastel boots and ponies on the trail.
Blush and dusty blue keep it sweet, and a little rust makes it feel like the real West.
Pairs well with: cowboy and western and horse.

50. Vintage hunting nursery theme
A vintage hunting nursery theme borrows from old sporting pictures, with retriever dogs, mallards and misty country paths.
For families who hunt, this theme means something, and the muted greens and browns feel timeless rather than themed.
Pairs well with: dog and puppy and duck.

51. Camping nursery theme
A camping nursery theme pitches a tent under the stars, with campfires, koalas, foxes and friends out on an adventure.
Cozy and adventurous at once, camping looks warmest in deep green with campfire orange.
Pairs well with: mountain and woodland.

52. Mountain nursery theme
A mountain nursery theme uses misty peaks, snowy ridges and the animals who live up there, like bears, wolves and deer.
Calm and grown-up, mountains make a good gender-neutral base for an adventure room.
Pairs well with: camping and bear.

53. Desert and cactus nursery theme
A desert nursery theme brings in cactus, camels, cowboys and warm sunsets in terracotta, sand and soft green.
Boho and relaxed, the warm palette suits a sunny room.
Pairs well with: cowboy and western and llama.

Flower and garden nursery themes
54. Floral nursery theme
A floral nursery theme fills the room with roses, tulips and garden flowers, sometimes with fairies or animals tucked into the blooms.
It's soft and timeless, and it's the easiest theme to match to bedding. Choose one main flower color and repeat it.
Pairs well with: wildflower and bunny.

55. Wildflower nursery theme
A wildflower nursery theme puts a meadow on the wall, with daisies, poppies and tall grasses, often with fairies, girls or ducks in the field.
Etsy saw searches rise 136% for daisy and 116% for wildflower nursery art in 2023 (Etsy, 2023 data). Wildflower also has choose-your-own galleries.
Pairs well with: floral and duck.

56. Botanical nursery theme
A botanical nursery theme uses leaves, pressed flowers and plant studies, often with woodland animals or ballerinas among the greenery.
Think of it as the quiet cousin of floral, mostly green with a little blush. It sits well in a neutral room.
Pairs well with: bird and gender-neutral.

57. Sunflower nursery theme
A sunflower nursery theme brings big yellow blooms and sunny garden scenes into the room.
It's a small collection today, so I'd pair a sunflower print with yellow or wildflower art to fill a wall.
Pairs well with: yellow and wildflower.

58. Tropical nursery theme
A tropical nursery theme is bright and leafy, with hibiscus, palm leaves, macaws and toucans.
Happy and warm, tropical works best when the greens lead and one bright bird is the accent.
Pairs well with: jungle and bird.

Hobby and meaningful nursery themes
60. Music nursery theme
A music nursery theme brings in animals and fairies playing violins, harps, banjos and guitars.
Parents who play will love sharing it with a baby. Musical Woodland Animals is a choose-your-own gallery, so the whole band can join.

Graceful and soft, ballet carries straight into a big-girl room.
Pairs well with: swan and floral.

62. Sports nursery theme
A sports nursery theme brings in baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis and golf, often with animals in team jerseys.

A reading nursery theme celebrates stories, with bears, fairies, dragons and children curled up with books.
Here's a gentle way to set up a reading corner from day one. Book-Loving Bears is a choose-your-own gallery.
Pairs well with: bear and dragon.

64. Faith and Bible verse nursery theme
A faith nursery theme brings Bible verses and gentle scenes, like Jesus with children or animals beside a favorite psalm, into the room.
It lets a family share what matters most from the first day. Soft florals and blush keep it light.
Pairs well with: floral and deer.

Color-led nursery themes
65. Gender neutral nursery theme
A gender-neutral nursery theme uses warm neutrals like oat, sage and soft brown with animals or nature, so the room suits any baby.
It's the second most searched theme on this list. There's more on choosing one in the gender-neutral section near the top.
Pairs well with: woodland and botanical.

Shop the gender-neutral collection. Read more: Gender-neutral nursery colors when one of you refuses to do beige.
66. Black and white nursery theme
A black and white nursery theme uses high-contrast art in ink-style lines and simple shapes, and it pairs with almost any theme above.
It's a common pick for a newborn's room, and it stays sharp as your child grows. Add one warm wood tone so it doesn't feel cold.
Pairs well with: zebra and gender-neutral.

67. Pink nursery theme
A pink nursery theme can be blush and quiet or bright and playful, with unicorns, dragons, mermaids and flowers in every shade.
Pick one pink and repeat it, so the room feels planned rather than piled up.
Pairs well with: floral and fairy.

68. Purple nursery theme
A purple nursery theme uses lavender and lilac, with mermaids, flowers and fairies in soft violet tones.
Lavender is the easiest purple to live with, and adding sage makes the room feel like a garden.
Pairs well with: mermaid and floral.

A yellow nursery theme is sunny and warm, with tulips, meadow scenes and happy flowers in butter and mustard.
Yellow works for any baby. Butter yellow on the wall with mustard in the art is a pairing that rarely goes wrong.

A blue nursery theme runs from powder blue to navy, with airplanes, sea animals, butterflies and jungle animals in cool tones.
Blue has several choose-your-own galleries, so a matched blue wall comes together quickly.
Pairs well with: nautical and sailboat and airplane.

Newborn and twin nursery themes
Newborn nursery themes
A newborn nursery theme works best when it stays calm and simple, with soft colors and one or two pieces of art rather than a full wall. black and white, moon and stars and gender-neutral themes all suit the first months, and you can add more art as your baby starts to notice the room.
Twin nursery themes
A twin nursery theme looks best when the two cribs share one theme and each baby gets a matching print of their own above it. Pairs come easily in themes like ducks, bunnies, elephants and hot air balloons, and the choose-your-own galleries make two matching sets simple.
Hanging wall art safely in a nursery
Hang wall art with its center about 57 inches from the floor, and leave 6 to 8 inches between the bottom of the frame and any furniture below it (Architectural Digest). In a nursery I bring that a little lower, so the art reads at a seated eye level from the glider.
Keep the crib itself empty except for a fitted sheet (NIH Safe to Sleep). For art near the crib, my own rule is simple: hang it securely and out of reach, using proper hardware rather than tape or one small nail.
Anchor dressers and bookcases to the wall (CPSC, 2025), and keep the crib and other furniture away from window cords (CPSC). For layouts that look right over a crib, see my nursery gallery wall guide.
Nursery theme questions parents ask
What is the most popular nursery theme?
Woodland is the most searched nursery theme we track, followed by gender-neutral, safari, outer space and dinosaur themes. For 2027, Babylist also expects coastal rooms and teddy bears to be popular (Babylist).
What are good gender-neutral nursery themes?
Woodland, safari, farm, botanical, moon and stars, hot air balloon and mountain themes all work for any baby. Warm neutrals like oat, sage and soft brown keep the room from leaning pink or blue.
What are good nursery themes for a boy or a girl?
For boys, dinosaurs, cars, construction, sports, outer space and airplanes are the most common picks. For girls, floral, fairy, butterfly, ballet, mermaid and princess themes lead, and any of them can be made softer or bolder with color.
When should you pick a nursery theme?
Pick it before you buy anything big, so the furniture, paint and art all follow one plan. Many parents start in the second trimester; 28% begin decorating then (SWNS via New York Post).
Can a nursery theme grow with your child?
Yes, if the theme is an animal, a place or a color rather than one character. Woodland, safari, outer space, western and color-led themes carry easily from a nursery into a toddler and big-kid room.
How many prints should go on a nursery wall?
One large print or a group of two to six works for most nursery walls. A matched gallery of three or four over a dresser or changing table is the easiest way to fill a wall without it looking busy.
How high should you hang wall art in a nursery, and is it safe above the crib?
Hang art with its center about 57 inches from the floor and 6 to 8 inches above furniture (Architectural Digest). Keep the crib empty except for a fitted sheet (NIH Safe to Sleep), and hang any art near the crib securely and out of reach.
How do you mix two nursery themes?
Choose two themes that share colors, like woodland and mushroom or ocean and nautical, and let one lead. Each theme above lists the themes it pairs well with.
